IF A DOCTOR HAS RECOMMENDED SURGERY

"I SEE PATIENTS WHO COME IN BELIEVING THEY REQUIRE SURGERY, AND LEAVE WITH A DIFFERENT PLAN."

As a surgeon who specializes in reproductive medicine, my first and best advice is to seek a second opinion. A second opinion is easy to obtain, and you deserve it before committing to surgery. Fairly often, I see patients who come in believing they require surgery, and leave with a different plan. If surgery is confirmed, here are a few reasons you might consider coming to NYU to have me perform your surgery:

  • I am conservative about recommending surgery. In fact, I recommend surgery to a very small percentage of my patients.
  • I am a fertility specialist. I have a woman’s reproductive future in mind when I’m performing her operation.
  • I’ve received specialized training in reproductive surgery through my fellowship, and I’m a member of the Society of Reproductive Surgeons.
  • Reproductive surgery (hysteroscopy, laparoscopy, myomectomy) is exclusively what I do. Experience counts in the operating room, and I’ve successfully performed hundreds of these procedures.
  • I operate in New York University hospital, a world-famous organization known for superb patient care.

As I’ve stressed before, I strive to take care of my patients with compassion and comfort.
